Former welterweight world champions will co-headline the boxing event on Saturday, as Brian Norman Jr. and Josh Wagner are set to throw hands inside Scope Arena in Norfolk.
As the younger fighter with a better record, Norman Jr. heads into the match as the considerable betting favorite with -1660 boxing odds. Wagner, on the other hand, will be the heavy betting underdog with +800 odds. A draw result has odds of +2500.

Brian Norman Jr. vs. Josh Wagner: Prediction
A TKO/KO win for Norman Jr. is my prediction over Wagner, as he’s the heavier puncher and slightly faster boxer. Both rely on their punching power, but Norman Jr. sets up his combinations better with probing jabs.
Being economical with his punches is the main area Norman Jr. should improve on, as he often blows his gas tank in the first half of the match because he’s always going for the knockout finish. This was exposed during his previous fight, where he was dragged through 12 rounds.
Norman Jr.’s best punch is his left hook, and once he connects this on Wagner, I think he’ll be able to rock him and eventually finish him in under seven rounds. Also, Norman Jr.’s experience in championship fights will be another advantage he’ll bring to this bout.
Brian Norman Jr.’s Recent Fight Results
Norman Jr. was a former WBO welterweight champion, and he’s just fresh off his first defeat of his career at the hands of Devin Haney. Before that loss to Haney, his last four wins were against Quinton Randall, Giovani Santillan, Derrieck Cuevas, and Jin Sasaki.
Josh Wagner’s Recent Fight Results
Wagner was a former IBF International welterweight titleholder. He racked up three wins in his last five bouts, with victories over Abraham Juarez Ramirez, Geronimo Manuel Vazquez, and Juvenal Herrera, while his losses were courtesy of David Papot and Harlem Eubank.
