Spanish boxing star Cristobal Lorente will defend his EBU European Featherweight title against undefeated challenger Nathaniel Collins on Oct. 4, headlining the boxing card inside Braehead Arena in Glasgow, Scotland.
Although both still have immaculate pro records, Collins heads into the match as the considerable betting favorite with -500 boxing odds. Meanwhile, Lorente, the defending champion, will be the betting underdog with +400 odds.

Because of his more aggressive style and heavier punches, I predict that Collins will win via TKO/KO stoppage in under seven rounds. His combinations and variety of offensive attacks can be too much for Lorente to handle.
Collins also loves to move forward, press his opponents against the ropes, and force them to fight on their back foot. Once he lands a solid punch, he can acknowledge that his opponent is hurt and will start to overwhelm them with more combinations until they are dropped.
Meanwhile, Lorente’s best weapon is his stiff jabs that often keep his opponents at bay because he uses them as a counter. Additionally, he utilizes these jabs to score points and look good on the judges’ scorecards, which is why the majority of his wins have come via decision.
Once “The Nightmare” finds his range and builds momentum, it will only be a matter of time before he finds the chin or body of the Spaniard. Even when Lorente has sharp jab counters, it won’t be enough to fend him off because he’s not known to be a power puncher, and Collins should have no issues absorbing them.

Lorente is an undefeated boxing star, who made his pro debut in July 2016. He captured the Spanish featherweight title in his 13th fight, before he claimed the EBU European featherweight crown six fights later in July 2024 against Mauro Forte.
After he won that belt, he was able to retain it twice, with a unanimous decision over Francesco Grandelli last December and a split draw result with Ruben Gil in his most recent fight last July.

Collins made his pro debut against Lee Connelly in October 2018 and has since captured several national and regional boxing titles, including the BBBofC Celtic featherweight belt, Commonwealth Boxing Council Featherweight belt, and the WBC Silver Featherweight crown.
In his last five fights, he was able to finish two of his opponents via TKO/KO, with his most recent triumph coming against Lee McGregor last May via a fourth-round TKO finish to remain unbeaten and extend his streak to 17.
