Chip Lindsey and Steve Casula are the co-offensive coordinators at Michigan.ย

Lindsey and Casula are replacing Kirk Campbell, who went one-and-done as Michiganโ€™s OC in 2024 during Sherrone Mooreโ€™s inaugural season as head coach of the Wolverines.ย

Campbell was the quarterbacks coach at Michigan in 2023 and elevated to OC at age 38. He was dismissed at the end of the regular season and eventually took a job as an analyst with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Casula was elevated into the interim role for Michiganโ€™s bowl game. He was already on the staff as the tight ends coach and had previously worked as an OC at UMass and multiple Division II schools.ย

Lindsey is the more experienced of the two, having worked as a longtime high school assistant in Alabama before transitioning to a college OC in the mid-2010s. Heโ€™s previously worked at UNC, UCF, Auburn, Arizona State, and Southern Miss.ย

Lindsey is most famous for the two-year stint when he succeeded Neal Brown as the head coach at Troy.ย

Michiganโ€™s most successful offensive coordinator in recent memory was Moore, who worked as the OC under former coach Jim Harbaugh before ascending to the big job.ย

Other recent Michigan offensive coordinators include Josh Gattis (2019-21), Tim Drevno (2015-17), Doug Nussmeier (2014), and Al Borges (2011-13).
