For Utah and BYU, access to the Big 12 title game could come down to this week’s head-to-head matchup.

But championship pathways take a back seat in Salt Lake City this weekend. That’s because the Holy War is a top-tier rivalry where intra-state bragging rights trump everything else.

BetMGM has NCAA football odds available for all the Week 10 college football action.

Utah vs. BYU Odds

  • Point Spread: Utah -5.5
  • Moneyline: Utah -220  |  BYU +180
  • Total: 47.5

Utah vs. BYU: Preview & Notes

The Holy War has belonged to BYU in recent years, with the Cougars currently riding a three-game winning streak. All three of those games featured between 42 and 45 points.

That’s notable, since this game has an early total of 47.5 and will – somewhat confusingly – kick off at 10 a.m. local time.

This is a larger spread than I expected for such an intense rivalry, but Utah will presumably have an advantage with its run game. The Utes rank 19th in EPA/rush; BYU ranks 60th in EPA/rush defended.
