Braves Win Total Prediction 2026

  • Over 88.5 wins

Following a 76-86 campaign, the Braves should bounce back in a big way. That’s why I like the over on their MLB betting win total for the 2026 season.

The Braves missed the playoffs for the first time since 2017. The only real question is whether that was a minor setback or a sign of their window closing after an impressive seven-year run.

I’m guessing it’s more the former, and most projections agree. PECOTA, which was released this morning, has the Braves winning the division with 92.2 wins. Fangraphs’ playoff odds have a similar forecast, with Atlanta clinching the division with 91.5 wins.

Either way, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Braves’ win total climb ahead of opening day. They haven’t had a full-season win total close below 91.5 since 2019.

A lot went wrong in Atlanta last year, but it’s hard not to put some of the blame on health. According to this post from FanGraphs last September, the Braves lost more than 14 projected WAR due to injuries.

With improved health, the Braves still look like a contender on paper. Their pitching staff ranks fifth in total projected WAR for the upcoming season, per Roster Resource. Chris Sale, Spencer Schwellenbach, and Spencer Strider all have Cy Young upside.

The Braves also signed Robert Suarez to help solidify the back end of the bullpen.

Atlanta didn’t do as much on offense, but this lineup still has plenty of upside after leading the majors in scoring as recently as 2023. Based on preseason projections, eight of the nine starters are expected to post a wRC+ of more than 100.

It’s easy to see why the Braves might rebound in 2026, even if the betting market isn’t as convinced of their upside.
