Orioles Win Total Prediction 2026

  • Pass, but prefer the under

It’s difficult to have much conviction in any win total in the American League East division. That’s especially true for the Orioles’ MLB betting win total.

Coming off a 75-win season, Baltimore has been busy in its attempt to build a contender. The team added Pete Alonso and Taylor Ward, adding some thump to a lineup that stacks up as one of the best in baseball.

The Orioles also signed Ryan Helsley to be their closer. He led the majors in saves as recently as 2024. Baltimore also traded for right-handed starter Shane Baz to help provide some rotation depth.

However, it’s safe to say the starting rotation is still a concern when assessing how this roster stacks up in the AL East.

According to RosterResource, the Orioles’ rotation ranks 18th in projected WAR for the upcoming season. That ranks last among all five teams in the division. For comparison, Baltimore’s lineup ranks third in MLB in projected WAR for this year.

As such, the Orioles clearly have an imbalanced roster. They either plan to trade for another pitcher or have more belief in starters Trevor Rogers and Kyle Bradish than the consensus.

To be honest, I’m not even sure where I land on this conundrum. But I do question if the Orioles can keep pace in the AL East as currently constructed.

The Toronto Blue Jays have spent more money than anyone else after finishing one win shy of a World Series championship. The New York Yankees bring everyone back from a team that won 94 games, while the Boston Red Sox are trending in the right direction after an 89-win campaign.

FanGraphs’ playoff odds project a tight race in the AL East, forecasting all four teams between 83.7 and 86.2 wins. Baltimore is on the low end of that quartet with 83.7 wins, but that’d still be a bounce-back season.
