My Grizzlies win total prediction prefers the under in what is clearly a rebuilding season.
Within the past 15 months, Memphis traded away its core from the previous era. Desmond Bane spent last season with the Orlando Magic, Ja Morant is now with the Portland Trail Blazers, while Jaren Jackson Jr. is with the Utah Jazz.
Memphis’ remaining roster is led by young players. Rookie Cameron Boozer might be the team’s best player from Day 1, while recent high-draft picks Cedric Coward and Zach Edey figure to have bigger roles.
The Grizzlies also have some interesting role players that could be potential assets at the trade deadline, including Jerami Grant, Ty Jerome, and Isaiah Stewart.
Memphis has clearly signaled that it’s time for a new era after winning one playoff series in the past decade. Rebuilds typically take some time, especially for a Grizzlies team that went 25-57 last year.
I’m projecting a similar season in 2026-27, which could set the Grizzlies up for further success down the road.
