Despite losing Klay Thompson, the Golden State Warriors had a strong offseason. 

The Warriors added depth by bringing in Kyle Anderson, Buddy Hield, and De’Anthony Melton. I also expect giant leaps from Brandin Podziemski and Jonathan Kuminga.

In addition, Draymond Green will surely avoid suspension and play over 55 games this year.

The Warriors won 46 games last year, finishing 10th in a loaded Western Conference. But they ranked 11th in the league in net rating and haven’t finished below this win total in three straight seasons.

Count on a big bounce-back campaign from Stephen Curry and Co when assessing the latest Golden State Warriors odds.

San Antonio Spurs Under 36.5 Wins (+100)

There is a chance this win total climbs a bit due to the interest in Victor Wembanyama, so I’d honestly wait for a better number on the San Antonio Spurs odds.

Because Wembanyama has been compared to LeBron James in terms of hype, it’s worth noting that James helped the Cleveland Cavaliers finish 42-40 in his second season. 

But this year’s Western Conference is much more daunting than that version of the East.

The Spurs have won 22 games in each of the last two seasons, and this win total is counting on them leaping into play-in tournament contention. San Antonio might actually be better off having one more tanking season to land a top player in next year’s rookie class.

I’m going to fade the Wemby hype for one more year.

Denver Nuggets Under 52.5 Wins (-110)

For the second consecutive offseason, the Denver Nuggets lost a key player from their rotation when Kentavious Caldwell-Pope left for the Orlando Magic in free agency.

Suddenly, the NBA’s best starting lineup is asking Christian Braun to fill a huge role as the team’s top shooting guard. Braun averaged 20.2 minutes per contest and is an impact defensive player, but his shooting will allow teams to play off him.

More importantly, the Nuggets should focus more on ensuring their peak in the postseason. They have admitted fatigue was a factor in their Game 7 collapse against the Minnesota Timberwolves during the Western Conference semifinals.

I don’t expect Denver to shoot for a top seed in the West like last year, especially with Nikola Jokić and Jamal Murray playing in the Olympics this summer. 

The Denver Nuggets odds have been one of the more popular win total under bets this offseason. I’m betting this under before it moves much further.
