While I prefer the under on the Clippers’ win total (30.5), it’s tempting to wait for a higher over/under in the live win totals market. Los Angeles begins the year with a home opener against the Sacramento Kings.
Still, all signs point toward this being more of a rebuilding year for the Clippers. They’ve traded away Kawhi Leonard, James Harden, and Ivica Zubac within the past calendar year.
The deal that sent Leonard to the Toronto Raptors isn’t official yet, but it’s likely only a matter of time. And it signals the end of an era, as Leonard has been with the team since the 2019-20 season.
Los Angeles’ win rate has been 17% worse without Leonard in the lineup over the past seven seasons, so it won’t be easy to replace him. The Clippers landed Brandon Ingram in return, but he’s only had one All-Star campaign this decade.
