The Indiana Pacers were one win away from the NBA Finals last year after winning 50 games in the regular season.

After Tyrese Haliburton suffered an injury in Game 7 that will keep him out this upcoming season, the Pacers enter 2025-26 with a win total of 37.5 at the BetMGM online sportsbook.

Pacers Over/Under Wins 2025-26

  • Over 37.5 wins: +100
  • Under 37.5 wins: -120

Pacers Win Total Prediction

  • Under 38.5 wins (Pick made Oct. 2)

The Pacers were one of the more pleasant surprises last postseason, reaching their first NBA Finals in 25 years after earning the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference. Indiana has proven it can exceed expectations.

That said, I have a difficult time counting on the Pacers to do it again without Haliburton and after letting Myles Turner join the Milwaukee Bucks. Those two players have been instrumental to Indianaโ€™s success over the past few years.

Indiana has ranked in the top 10 in offensive rating over the last two years, with Haliburton running the show. Turner provided rim protection on the defensive end.

For the Pacers to compete for a playoff spot, they will need some players to take the next step and replace some of that lost production. Thatโ€™s certainly possible, as Andrew Nembhard and Bennedict Mathurin are among the favorites in the latest NBA Most Improved Player odds.

But donโ€™t overlook the fact that Indiana traded for its 2026 first-round pick during last yearโ€™s NBA Finals, which proved to be the second-most confusing trade made by the New Orleans Pelicans this summer.

The Pacersโ€™ motivations could be much different come next spring in a loaded draft class, especially after seeing the Dallas Mavericks earn the No. 1 overall pick as a play-in team.

Finishing under this win total might be in Indianaโ€™s best interest.
