Daniel Jones signed a two-year, $88 million contract with the Colts before the 2026 season. However, his guaranteed money is set to run out after the 2026 season.

How Much Guaranteed Money is Left on Daniel Jones Contract?

Jones’ contract includes three void years from 2028-2030 to spread out a hefty signing bonus.

Indianapolis signed Jones to a contract that includes a $44 million signing bonus prorated over five years.

Next year, $10.5 million becomes guaranteed on March 15 if the Colts retain Jones. Another $4 million is due as a roster bonus, with a $510,000 per-game bonus in 2027.

Indianapolis can elect to get out of the contract, but it will leave a significant dead money hit.

Cutting Jones before June 1 leaves Indianapolis with $35.2 million in dead money vs a $11.6 million in cap savings.

A post-June 1 cut reduces it to $8.8 million in dead money with $38 million in cap savings.

Indianapolis fired GM Chris Ballard during the 2026 season and appears to be trending toward a rebuild.

However, they currently have no first-round pick in 2027 to chase a new franchise quarterback.
