Twelve current NFL teams have never won a Super Bowl: Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Chargers, Minnesota Vikings, and Tennessee Titans.
The Cardinals are the oldest franchise (1920) that hasn’t won a Super Bowl. The Lions (1930) are the second-oldest with a win, followed by the Browns (1950).
Eight teams have appeared in a Super Bowl but have never won:
- Buffalo Bills (four appearances)
- Minnesota Vikings (four)
- Cincinnati Bengals (three)
- Atlanta Falcons (two)
- Carolina Panthers (two)
- Arizona Cardinals (one)
- Los Angeles Chargers (one)
- Tennessee Titans (one)
The Cardinals are the oldest franchise without a Super Bowl appearance.
After the Jaguars loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and the Bills loss to the Bengals in the divisional round, only one of the 12 teams without a Super Bowl win is still alive in the 2022-23 NFL playoffs, the Bengals.
As of Wednesday, Jan. 25, the Bengals have +260 odds to win the Super Bowl, the second-shortest among the four teams in conference championships. The Eagles lead at +240, while the Chiefs at +275 and the 49ers are +350.
The Bengals are seeking a fourth Super Bowl appearance.
