MetLife Stadium opened on April 10, 2010, and the first NFL game was played there on Sept. 12, 2010.

It was originally known as New Meadowlands Stadium, but MetLife got the naming rights for the venue a year after it opened in 2011. It’s the largest NFL stadium, as MetLife Stadium’s capacity is 82,500.

Where Did the Giants and Jets Play Before MetLife Stadium?

The Giants and Jets played in Giants Stadium until 2009. The venue opened in 1976.
