The excitement from the PGA Tour’s West Coast swing continued at the Genesis Invitational from Riviera Country Club, just outside of Los Angeles, Feb. 16-19.
Not only was Tiger Woods in the field and made the cut, but it was another designated event, which meant all the top players on the PGA Tour competed for a ton of money.
In the end, Jon Rahm won for the third time this year, including his second designated event. He finished at 17-under, which was two shots better than Max Homa.
A third-round 65 was the key to his win.
Since it was a designated event, the tournament had a $20 million purse.
