The excitement from the PGA Tour’s West Coast swing continued at the Genesis Invitational from Riviera Country Club just outside of Los Angeles.
Due to the California wildfires last year, the event needed to be played at Torrey Pines.
It was a PGA Tour signature event, which meant all the top players were be in the field, including world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy.
Entering the final round with a six-shot lead, Jacob Bridgeman held on for a one-shot win, his first on the PGA Tour.
He finished at 18-under, one better than McIlroy and Kurt Kitayama.
The field was cut to the top 50 players and ties, and anyone within 10 shots of the lead, after the second round.
The tournament had a $20 million purse.
