The final full-field PGA Tour event of the 2023 season was the RSM Classic in Sea Island, Georgia, Nov. 16-19.
Although not a PGA Tour signature event, a number of players in the 156-player field looked to make sure they were inside the top 125 of the FedEx Cup standings to ensure they’re fully exempt for the 2024 season.
The tournament was played on two courses — the Seaside and Plantation courses at the Sea Island Resort. Players played both courses Thursday and Friday, and then the final two rounds were played on the Seaside course.
Ludvig Aberg was the winner, finishing at 29-under, good for a four-shot win. It was his first PGA Tour victory.
The rookie went 61-61 on Saturday and Sunday. His total score of 253 tied the lowest 72-hole total ever on the PGA Tour.
The purse for the event was $8.4 million.
