It was a unique week on the PGA Tour at The American Express in La Quinta, California.
The event was at PGA West, which has three courses — Pete Dye SC, Nicklaus TC, La Quinta CC. Players played all three courses for the first three rounds, and then the final round was exclusively at the Pete Dye SC.
Even though it was not a PGA Tour signature event, plenty of top players were in the field, including Scottie Scheffler, Ben Griffin, Russell Henley, Robert MacIntyre and Patrick Cantlay.
In the end, Scheffler came away as the winner. He finished at 27-under, good for a four-shot victory.
It was his 20th career PGA Tour win.
The tournament had a purse of $9.2 million.
