Sean O’Malley successfully defended his UFC bantamweight title after lopsidedly beating Marlon Vera during their championship clash in the main event of UFC 299 this past Saturday inside the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.

O’Malley proved that he was the considerable UFC odds favorite heading into the match by dominating Vera throughout their entire fight through his elite striking, which resulted in an incredible performance. This warranted him an additional $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus from UFC CEO Dana White.
“Suga” is not the only one who secured an additional $50,000 bonus as Jack Dela Maddalena, Curtis Blaydes, Michel Pereira, and Robelis Despaigne were also awarded the Performance of the Night award, while Dustin Poirier and Benoit Saint Denis bagged the Fight of the Night honor.
