Sean O’Malley has fended off the challenge of Marlon Vera in the main event of UFC 299 on March 9, inside the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, to retain his status as the best bantamweight fighter in the world. “Suga” has also further cemented his place as a top name in UFC odds after yet another masterful performance. 

It was his 18th career victory and fifth decision win. He now rides a six-fight winning streak that dates back to March 2021. With a bigger target on his back now, who should he face next inside the Octagon?

When Is Sean O’Malley’s Next Fight? 

During his post-fight interview inside the Octagon following his victory against Vera, O’Malley called the UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria for a champion-versus-champion showdown. But if that match doesn’t come to fruition, he wants to defend his title against the No. 1 divisional contender, Merab Dvalishvili.
