UFC 328: Ateba Gautier vs. Ozzy Diaz: Prediction
My prediction is a TKO/KO win for Gautier over Diaz because he’s the more powerful and explosive striker. Once Gautier touches his opponent with a clean punch, they almost instantly get knocked down.
With Diaz being a striker himself and not utilizing takedowns in his fights, I think Gautier will be able to find his chin through his signature one-two punch combination down the middle. This is going to be the perfect combination to end the match for Gautier since Diaz has a wide guard.
Furthermore, Gautier has the option of attacking the lead leg of Diaz, as he’s very heavy with that leg when fighting. If Gautier employs this fight plan, he’ll be able to inflict significant damage on that leg and compromise Diaz’s movement and power.

Gautier was a product of Dana White’s Contender Series in September 2024, where he scored a second-round finish of Yura Naito to secure a UFC contract. Since then, he won all four of his fights inside the octagon, with victories over Jose Daniel Medina, Robert Valentin, Tre’ston Vines, and Andrey Pulyaev.

Diaz was a former LFA and LFX titleholder. He first attempted to earn a roster spot in the UFC via Dana White’s Contender Series in 2022, but was defeated by Joe Pyfer. Then he finally earned a contract under the promotion in 2024. Diaz has split his first two bouts, with a win over Djorden Santos and a loss to Zhang Mingyang.
