The co-main event of the UFC Houston card on Feb. 21 will feature the welterweight clash between Geoff Neal and Uros Medic, which takes place inside the Toyota Center.

As the ranked contender, Neal heads into the match as the betting favorite with -200 UFC odds. On the other hand, Medic is going to be the betting underdog with +165 odds despite riding a two-fight win streak.

UFC Houston: Geoff Neal vs. Uros Medic: Prediction

My prediction is a TKO/KO victory for Medic over Neal, since he’s the faster and more powerful striker. The speed difference will be more apparent on fight night, and Neal has previously struggled against quicker opponents.

Medic delivers precise strikes to his opponents’ heads and bodies. One of his best attacks is the knee to the body, which crumbles opponents and folds them. If he lands this during the fight, I think he’ll be able to finish Neal since he’s got a granite chin.

The surging Serbian contender will have a hard time putting Neal to sleep if he only targets his chin and head because the American contender has shown great durability that’s backed by his immense experience in the octagon. That’s why I think the best route to victory for him is a body shot.

Geoff Neal’s Recent Fight Results

Neal is a UFC veteran who has been with the promotion since 2018. In his last five bouts, he has only won two fights over Vicente Luque and Rafael Dos Santos, but lost the other three to Shavkat Rakhmonov, Ian Garry, and Carlos Prates.

Uros Medic’s Recent Fight Results

Medic was an undefeated prospect when he joined Dana White’s Contender Series in 2020. He defeated Mikey Gonzalez to earn a roster spot in the UFC. He recorded three wins (against Tim Means, Gilbert Urbina, and Muslim Salikhov) and two losses (to Myktybek Orolbai and Punahele Soriano) in his past five fights inside the octagon.
