UFC Houston: Serghei Spivac vs. Ante Delija: Prediction

A TKO/KO finish for Delija over Spivac is my prediction because of the difference in speed and power. Although I give the grappling advantage to Spivac mainly due to his solid Sambo background, I still think that Delija will catch him with a solid punch, especially in the early stages of the fight.

Delija is also a decent grappler with several submission wins. It’ll be enough for him to stop the takedown attempts of Spivac, much like he did against Marcin Tybura when he made his UFC debut.

An early takedown attempt from Spivac is expected, but Delija’s takedown defense will prevent the bout from going down the mat. Once they are back in the middle octagon, a quick barrage of punches will be fired by Delija until he finishes Spivac.

Serghei Spivac’s Recent Fight Results

Spivac was an undefeated prospect when the UFC signed him in 2019. In 14 UFC fights, he has won eight and lost six. However, in his last five fights, he has only won two fights against Derrick Lewis and Marcin Tybura and lost to Ciryl Gane, Jailton Almeida, and Waldo Cortes-Acosta.

Ante Delija’s Recent Fight Results

Delija was the former PFL heavyweight champion before the UFC signed him in 2025. He made a successful octagon debut with a first-round stoppage of Tybura, but he lost his second fight to Cortes-Acosta in November via first-round TKO/KO.
