I predict a submission win for Hooper over Ramirez, as he’s the far better grappler and the latter struggles with defending takedowns. With Hooper’s solid Brazilian jiu-jitsu background, I think he’ll be able to submit Ramirez and neutralize his crisp striking.
Hooper may have learned his lesson in his current two-fight losing streak. He should just go for takedowns immediately to minimize the damage from his opponents and submit them as early as possible while they are still dry in the early part of the match.
Ramirez had early trouble in his previous fight, when he gave up his back and was nearly submitted. If this happens against Hooper, I think he will do a better job of threatening and transitioning to multiple submission techniques until he gets the finish.
