Heavyweight contender Mario Pinto puts his immaculate record on the line, as he’s set to face Ryan Spann at UFC Paris on Saturday inside Accor Arena in France.

Because of his perfect pro MMA record, Pinto heads into the showdown as the betting favorite with -325 UFC odds, while Spann, who’s on a two-fight win streak, will be the +260 betting underdog.

UFC Paris: Mario Pinto vs. Ryan Spann: Prediction

My prediction is a decision win for Pinto over Spann because he’s the more technical and measured fighter. Spann relies more on his power and athleticism to put his opponents out, plus he thrives in chaotic exchanges.

Pinto needs to force a lot of clinch battles with Spann, especially early into the fight. This will allow him to nullify the threat of his punching power and drain a significant amount of energy out of Spann.

Since moving up to the heavyweight division, Spann seems to have lost a chunk of his cardio due to the added weight. This should be the focal point of Pinto’s fight plan and should be the one controlling the pace of the match.

Mario Pinto’s Recent Fight Results

Pinto was a former Levels Fight League champion and earned his UFC contract via Dana White’s Contender Series in 2024 with a first-round finish of Lucas Camacho. Since then, he won his first three bouts inside the octagon with victories over Austen Lane, Jhonata Diniz, and Felipe Franco.

Ryan Spann’s Recent Fight Results

Spann has been with the UFC since 2018 and was a light heavyweight contender before moving up to heavyweight. He racked up three wins in his last five bouts, with victories over Ovince Saint Preux, Lukasz Brzeski, and Marcus Buchecha, while his losses were courtesy of Bogdan Guskov and Waldo Cortes Acosta.
