Surging featherweight contender Nathaniel Wood will welcome promotional debutant Pavel Andrusca as they are set to collide at UFC Paris on Saturday inside Accor Arena.

Due to his four-fight win streak, Wood enters the match as the betting favorite with -300 UFC odds. On the other hand, Andrusca, who’s a late replacement, is going to be the +240 betting underdog.

UFC Paris: Nathaniel Wood vs. Pavel Andrusca: Prediction

My prediction is a decision win for Wood over Andrusca, as he’s the more technical fighter with extensive experience in the promotion. Wood will also have the slight edge in speed, which will be crucial in striking exchanges.

But the biggest catalyst in this match is the late notice for Andrusca, who will step in against Wood in less than two weeks of preparation. Even though Wood will also make a big adjustment in his fight plan, he still has the full training camp.

I think it’s going to be a stand-up fight and Wood will win several of the exchanges. He’ll use every ounce of his experience to fend off Andrusca. Though Wood needs to be careful because Andrusca has one-punch knockout power.

Nathaniel Wood’s Recent Fight Results

Wood was a former Cage Warriors champion before the UFC signed him in 2018. In his last five bouts inside the octagon, he recorded four wins (Daniel Pineda, Morgan Charriere, Jose Miguel Delgado, and Losene Keita) and one loss (Muhammad Naimov).

Pavel Andrusca’s Recent Fight Results

Andrusca is an undefeated prospect from Moldova and was the former Vendetta Fight Nights titleholder. His last five career wins were against Ahmet Simsek, Eriquis Camilo Soares, Thyago Silva, Daermisi Zhawupasi, and Gexipengchu.
