The women’s strawweight clash between ranked contenders Amanda Lemos and Gillian Robertson is going to be the co-headliner of the UFC Vegas 114 card Saturday at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.

Even though she’s a former title challenger, Lemos heads into the match as the betting underdog with +165 UFC odds. On the other hand, Robertson, who’s on a four-fight win streak, will be the -200 betting favorite.

UFC Vegas 114: Amanda Lemos vs. Gillian Robertson: Prediction

My prediction is a submission victory for Robertson over Lemos since she’s the better grappler. Robertson has used this grappling to score at least two takedowns against her last four opponents and weaponized it to her advantage.

If Robertson chooses to employ a grappling-heavy approach, she’ll not only neutralize the striking of Lemos but also give her problems in scrambles because the former title challenger had problems defending takedowns. In fact, she already has two submission losses in her UFC career.

Amanda Lemos’ Recent Fight Results

Lemos was a former UFC women’s strawweight title challenger and has been with the promotion since 2017. In her last five fights inside the octagon, she recorded two wins over Mackenzie Dern and Iasmin Lucindo, but lost the other three to Zhang Weili, Virna Jandiroba, and Tatiana Suarez.

Gillian Robertson’s Recent Fight Results

Robertson is also a UFC veteran who made his octagon debut in 2018. She’s currently on a four-fight win streak and has only dropped one fight in her last five bouts. Her victories were against Polyana Viana, Michelle Waterson-Gomez, Luana Pinheiro, and Marina Rodriguez, while his lone defeat during this stretch was to Tabatha Ricci.
