UFC Vegas 121: Norma Dumont vs. Ailin Perez: Prediction

A decision win for Perez is my prediction over Dumont because she’s the better overall grappler. This grappling will help her take Dumont down and control her for the majority of the fight. It will also allow Perez to land ground-and-pound strikes and threaten with submissions.

Perez knows that Dumont is the better striker and she doesn’t want to risk to be tagged or hurt on the feet, which is why I believe she’ll take the fight on the ground. But Perez also has an underrated striking, which could help her set up and time those takedowns.

Norma Dumont’s Recent Fight Results

Dumont was an undefeated prospect when the UFC signed her in 2020. In her last five bouts, she recorded four wins against Chelsea Chandler, Germaine de Randamie, Irene Aldana, and Ketlen Vieira, while her lone defeat during this period was courtesy of Joselyne Edwards.

Ailin Perez’s Recent Fight Results

Perez was the former Collision Fight Ultimate and Samurai Fight House titleholder before she signed with the UFC in 2022. Since then, she competed in seven bouts and recorded six wins (Ashlee Evans-Smith, Lucie Pudilova, Edwards, Daria Zhelenzniakova, Karol Rosa, and Macy Chiasson) and one loss (Stephanie Egger).
