The heavy-hitting battle between former WBC heavyweight Deontay Wilder and former title challenger Derek Chisora goes down this Saturday at the O2 Arena in London.

Both are coming off wins in their previous fights, but Wilder heads into the match as the betting underdog with +160 boxing odds, while Chisora will be the -190 betting favorite. A draw result has odds of +1600.

Deontay Wilder vs. Derek Chisora: Prediction

With massive height and reach advantages, I predict a TKO/KO victory for Wilder over Chisora. Chisora is likely to move forward and cover a lot of distance, which makes him vulnerable to counterpunches.

Even if they are at the sunset of their careers, both boxers still possess the one-punch knockout power that can put each other to sleep. But Wilder’s nine-inch reach will be the biggest catalyst, especially in neutralizing  Chisora’s aggression.

Wilder has seen a decline in his punching production ever since he lost his world title, but he’ll need to up his work rate this time to counter the aggressive approach of the British boxing heavyweight veteran.

Deontay Wilder’s Recent Fight Results

Wilder is a former WBC heavyweight boxing world champion. However, in his last five fights, he has only recorded two wins (Robert Helenius and Tyrrell Anthony Herndon) while losing the other three (Tyson Fury, Joseph Parker, and Zhilei Zhang).

Derek Chisora’s Recent Fight Results

Chisora captured several minor boxing titles and became a world title challenger. He has experienced a recent surge by winning four of his last five matches. Victories during this stretch have come against Kubrat Pulev, Gerald Washington, Joe Joyce, and Otto Wallin, with the lone loss courtesy of Fury.
