Texas A&M can keep pace at the top of the SEC with a win at No. 20 LSU.ย

At BetMGM, early Week 9 college football odds from Sundayโ€™s market open price Texas A&M as 2.5-point favorites at LSU.ย

  • Over/Under: 48.5

LSU vs. Texas A&M

Texas A&M hasnโ€™t won in Baton Rouge since 1994, and the trends only get worse from there. LSU has won six straight in the old SEC West rivalry. Texas A&M is 0-5-1 ATS in those games and 3-11-1 ATS on the road since the start of the 2021 season.

This will be the Aggiesโ€™ best chance for a series win, and it couldnโ€™t come at a better time. As Ty Simpson and Alabama catch fire, A&M must keep pace with the Crimson Tide in order to hold onto its potential berth in the conference championship game. A stretch loss to LSU (or anyone else) would drop the Aggies into a morass of other one-loss contenders.ย

LSU, for its part, is hoping to score a signature win for Brian Kellyโ€™s 2025 season. Wins against Clemson and Florida have aged poorly. A loss would likely drop the Tigers out of the AP Top 25.
