Virginia vs. Florida State: Preview & Notes

Does the market have a good read on these teams? Handicapping this game requires first answering that question.

UVA is seen as a fringe top 25 team. But the Cavaliers lost to a West Virginia team that doesn’t play much defense, and its Week 0 win against NC State is looking more and more suspect.

Florida State is seen as a predetermined letdown with a coach who’s just waiting to be fired. But FSU played a tight game with SMU and led Alabama for most of the first half in Tuscaloosa – two teams we do know are pretty good.

The underdog has covered the last four games in the FSU/UVA series. That includes last year, when UVA won 48-38 in double-overtime as a seven-point dog.
