The record for most teams involved in an NBA trade is seven. This was accomplished in a deal that sent Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets during the 2025 NBA offseason.

The seven-team trade involved the Rockets, Phoenix Suns, Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Lakers, and Minnesota Timberwolves.

Previously, the largest trade in NBA history was a six-team deal that sent Klay Thompson to the Dallas Mavericks in 2024.

Details of the Largest Trade in NBA History
