Warriors vs. Rockets Prediction: Game 7 NBA Playoffs Preview

  • Get betting expert betting predictions and analysis for Warriors vs. Rockets.
  • The Rockets are 2.5-point favorites for Sundayโ€™s Game 7.

Six years after their last Game 7 matchup, the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors will clash in another do-or-die battle at 8:30 p.m. ET on Sunday at the Toyota Center on TNT.

While few players remain from that historic Western Conference finals battle, itโ€™s difficult for Houston fans to forget what it was like watching their team miss 27 consecutive 3-pointers in that 101-92 loss.

Will they finally avenge that performance against Stephen Curry and Co., completing a 3-1 series comeback in this Round 1 matchup?

Here’s a look at the latest NBA betting lines for the Warriors vs. Rockets and my prediction ahead of Sundayโ€™s Game 7:

Warriors vs. Rockets Odds: Game 7

  • Warriors spread: +2.5
  • Rockets spread: -2.5
  • Total: 205.5

Warriors vs. Rockets Prediction: Game 7 Best Bet

Based on the updated NBA betting market, Iโ€™d recommend backing the Warriorsโ€™ moneyline (+120) as my best bet for Game 7 of this Round 1 series.

Full disclosure: I backed Houston to win this series pre-flop, so I have no desire to play a side in this game. But for this preview, I think Golden State is the right side.

A team hasnโ€™t erased a 3-1 series deficit in the NBA playoffs since the Denver Nuggets did it twice during the bubble in 2020. They accomplished the feat against the Los Angeles Clippers and Utah Jazz.

Not counting the bubble (since there was no travel), a 3-1 series deficit hasnโ€™t been overcome since the Cleveland Cavaliers did it against the Warriors in the 2016 NBA Finals.

Itโ€™s difficult to win three consecutive playoff games while facing elimination, particularly against an experienced team like the Warriors.

Golden State wonโ€™t be scared of the moment on Sunday. The Warriors have won two straight road Game 7s, including against the Rockets in 2018 and the Sacramento Kings in 2023.

This matchup feels more comparable to two years ago. Like the 2023 Kings, this yearโ€™s Rockets are young, and this moment could be too big for them.

Game 7 prediction: Warriors ML (+120)
