After he was selected with the second overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud signed a four-year contract with an average annual salary of $9.07 million.

Right now, the Texans have one of the best values in the NFL. Houston won the AFC South in 2023 despite the fact that its quarterback’s base salary was less than $1 million.

C.J. Stroud signed a four-year rookie contract with a total value of $36,279,243, all of which is fully guaranteed.

C.J. Stroud Salary

C.J. Stroud will earn $2.4 million from his contract with the Texans during the 2024 NFL season. 

C.J. Stroud Signing Bonus

C.J. Stroud’s signing bonus for his rookie contract totaled $23,384,904.

C.J. Stroud 5th Year Option

Like all first-round picks, Stroud’s rookie contract can be extended by the Texans for a fifth year. That extension would govern the 2027 NFL season.
