NFL Week 7 Expert Picks 2026

Vikings vs Colts Prediction: Indianapolis Colts Spread (+6, -110)

Based on the Colts’ misleading defeat against the Titans and the Vikings’ inconsistent run-stopping record, my Vikings vs Colts prediction is the Colts Spread (+6, -110).

Indianapolis Colts (+6) @ -110 Minnesota Vikings (-6) @ -108

Do not let the Colts-Titans final score entirely influence your thinking for this game. Tennessee won the game despite a horrific offensive showing, turnover luck and special teams.

Indianapolis outgained Tennessee 399-186. Yards per play finished 5.1-4.1 for Indy.

However, a blocked punt returned for a touchdown and two turnovers inside the Tennessee 25-yard line doomed Shane Steichen’s team.

Minnesota prides itself on a top defense without any offensive prowess. But the defense showed against Miami that it is prone to offenses moving the ball via the run.

Jonathan Taylor poses a stiffer test for Brian Flores’ defense. Plus, the Colts showed in Week 2 that it can move the ball well as lofty underdogs against the Chiefs.

In that game, the Colts closed a six-point road underdog. Under no circumstances is the current version of Minnesota equal to Kansas City.

Minnesota is 5-0, but it could easily be 2-3 without some one-score game luck. It leads me to predict some regression as the Colts stay within a big number.

Falcons vs 49ers Prediction: Atlanta Falcons Spread (+4.5, -108)

Based on Atlanta’s improved offensive metrics since Week 3 and the scheduling advantage in Week 7, my Falcons vs 49ers prediction is the Falcons Spread (+4.5, -108).

San Francisco 49ers (-4.5) @ -110 Atlanta Falcons (+4.5) @ -108

Let’s start with the scheduling spot. San Francisco travels to Atlanta on a short week while the Falcons get a third consecutive home game.

That alone leaves me questioning if the 49ers can cover two key numbers. Plus, Atlanta’s defense could see the return of corner A.J. Terrell from IR to help against a good passing game.

Most of my confidence stems from the buy-low opportunity on a good offense. Albeit against a bad Bears defense, the offense moved the ball and won the yards per play battle.

Two special teams turnovers doomed Atlanta in a one-possession game. Chicago scored 10 points off a muffed punt and a fumble from an Atlanta kickoff return.

It sent Atlanta to a second straight defeat by a single possession. Now, the offense gets a 49ers defense that has punched above its weight en route to a 5-0 start.

What’s concerning is the level of volatility attached to Raheem Morris’ defense. While the unit began Week 6 ranked fourth in DVOA, it came against the 23rd-hardest set of offenses.

It didn’t stop San Francisco from posting a 9.7% DVOA rating against Arizona in Week 3, their worst of the year. It leads me to predict the Falcons cover against a potentially tired unit.
