That extension has been restructured twice, including earlier this year. But the fundamentals havenโt changed โ heโs a highly paid veteran quarterback whoโs inked through 2026.ย
The 2025 renegotiation, which restructures the final two years of the deal, carries an $84 million price tag.ย

Matthew Stafford will earn $44 million from his NFL contract in 2025.ย
That total breaks down into a base salary of $16 million, a $24 million option bonus, and a $4 million roster bonus.ย

Matthew Staffordโs renegotiated contract includes $40 million in guaranteed money โ his 2025 base salary plus his $24 million option.ย
Most of his 2026 compensation becomes guaranteed on the fifth day of next yearโs NFL season calendar.
