College football is a game centered around the accumulation of as much high-end talent as possible on a roster with dozens of players.ย

The teams that are successful every year โ€“ the ones who often appear near the top of the college football futures market โ€“ are the ones who can consistently identify and recruit these top players.

Inevitably, some schools donโ€™t just put one or two guys into the NFL Draft. Instead, they crush it with six, eight, sometimes even 10 or more draft picks in a single year.

Most Draft Picks From Same School in the First Round of the Same Year

The 2020 Alabama Crimson Tide had six first-round picks in the 2021 NFL Draft, which tied the all-time record for most first-round picks from one school.ย

The 2003 Miami Hurricanes set the initial high-water mark in the 2004 NFL Draft with six first-rounders.ย

Alabama won the national championship during the 2020 season. Miami won the national championship in 2001 and was still an immensely talented team in the years that followed.ย

Most Total Draft Picks From the Same School of the Same Year

Georgia set a record in the 2022 NFL Draft with 15 players selected during the seven rounds of the NFL Draft. No other college program had ever produced more than 14 in a single year.

Georgiaโ€™s record-setting haul included five first-rounders, starting with No. 1 overall pick Travon Walker.

Previously, two schools had produced 14-pick draft hauls: 2019 LSU (in the 2020 draft) and 2004 Ohio State (in the 2005 draft).
