Ranking NFL Week 4 Games: Most Watchable to Least

1. Chiefs (-4.5)/Raiders – Sunday, Oct. 4 4:25 p.m.

The only matchup of 3-0 teams this weekend. The Raiders are hot and playing at home. Can they knock off their longtime tormentors and move to 4-0, or will the Chiefs put them in their place as they’ve done so often over the last decade?

2. Broncos/49ers (-2.5) – Sunday, Oct. 4 4:25 p.m.

I expect this game to be more competitive than Super Bowl 24 (49ers 55, Broncos 10). The 49ers are a better team but are once again the walking wounded. It shouldn’t surprise anyone if Denver pulls off the outright upset in Santa Clara.

3. Rams(-3)/Eagles – Sunday, Oct. 4 1 p.m.

The Eagles have owned this rivalry lately, including a playoff win in January 2025. The 1-2 Rams desperately need this game after blowing it last Sunday night in Denver.

4. Patriots/Bills (-7) – Sunday, Oct. 4 1 p.m.

Drake Maye’s star turn began last year in Buffalo. If he’s going to reclaim that form, he could use a star-caliber game this Sunday in Buffalo. A Buffalo win here makes them extremely likely to win the AFC East.

5. Falcons/Saints (-2.5) – Monday, Oct. 5 8:15 p.m.

The 20-year anniversary of the post-Katrina Steve Gleason game. Both teams are 1-2, but both could win the division. This matchup will be amazing on Monday night.

6. Jaguars/Bengals (-2.5) – Sunday, Oct. 4 1 p.m.

Two great young quarterbacks going head-to-head is always fun. I think the Jaguars are flat-out better, and I’m expecting an outright upset.

7. Steelers (-3)/Browns – Thursday, Oct. 1 8:15 p.m.

I did not expect to be as excited as I am for this Thursday night game when the schedule came out. Both teams are 2-1, and it’s a rivalry renewed in primetime.

8. Chargers/Seahawks (-7) – Sunday, Oct. 4 4:25 p.m.

Can the Chargers be competitive here on the road at the defending champs? Seattle will be smarting after last week’s loss at Washington.

9. Cowboys/Texans (-2.5) – Sunday, Oct. 4 1 p.m.

A Texas-sized game for both teams’ playoff chances. If the Cowboys lose, they’re 1-3. If the Texans lose, they’re 1-4. The stakes are bigger in Texas.

10. Jets/Bears (-3.5) – Sunday, Oct. 4 1 p.m.

There should be points galore in this game, no matter who the Bears start at quarterback in place of the injured Caleb Williams.

11. Cardinals (-1)/Giants – Sunday, Oct. 4 1 p.m.

All eyes will be on Giants QB Jameis Winston. If he struggles, will the Gmen turn to their newest player, JJ McCarthy?

12. Lions (-3.5)/Panthers – Sunday, Oct. 4 8:20 p.m.

Defense will be optional on Sunday Night Football. Jahmyr Gibbs should go nuts on the Carolina defense.

13. Colts (-3.5)/Commanders – Sunday, Oct. 4 9:30 a.m.

First international game of the season! Who doesn’t love early football? The winner here moves to 2-2, which seems crazy, but here we are.

14. Packers (-4)/Bucs – Sunday, Oct. 4 1 p.m.

The Battle of the Bay has lost some luster with Baker Mayfield out, but there will be curiosity to watch UDFA QB Jalon Daniels start for Tampa. Both teams desperately need this win.

15. Titans/Ravens (11.5) – Sunday, Oct. 4 1 p.m.

If you are a Ravens fan or have Ravens in fantasy or are betting the Ravens, this game will be great! Otherwise…

16. Dolphins/Vikings (-11) – Sunday, Oct. 4 1 p.m.

If you want to watch an NFL team potentially be shut out this weekend, this is the game for you. How many points can the Miami Dolphins realistically score against Brian Flores’ Vikings defense?
