  • Scottie Scheffler (+300) is the favorite to win the Cadillac Championship.
  • A case for Cameron Young (+1200) to earn his second win of the season.
  • I predict Sahith Theegala (+5500) contends based on his spike potential.

This week, golfers compete in the latest PGA Tour signature event: the Cadillac Championship at Trump National Doral.

Most Likely to Win the Cadillac Championship

Current golf odds price Scottie Scheffler (+300) as the favorite to win this week. At his price, Scheffler – the runner-up at the 2026 Masters – owns a 25% implied probability to win.

Rory McIlroy sits out the event in advance of Quail Hollow, leaving Cameron Young (+1200) second on the board. He’s followed by Pebble Beach winner Colin Morikawa (+1800).

Including those three players, oddsmakers price seven players inside +2500 to win at Doral.

Let’s dive into the selections. Prices are reflective at time of writing and are subject to movement.

Best Golf Picks for the Cadillac Championship

Cameron Young (+1200)

My guiding principle for the week: prior success at Augusta National is demonstrably important.

Recent winners at Doral – Adam Scott, Dustin Johnson and Patrick Reed – all own green jackets. While Young lacks an Augusta win, he possesses three top-10s.

No player showed a better spike potential than Young recently. He gained at least five strokes in 20% of his last 20 rounds, best in this field by five percent.

He ranks 10th in driving distance and first in total driving over the last four months. Young also ranks 16th in proximity from 200+ yards and second in SG: Par 3s – 226+ yards.

Dating back to the Genesis Invitational, Young averaged +0.95 SG: APP per round. In his first three events of the year, he lost -0.21 SG: APP per round.

That sample includes +1.77 at the Players en route to a win. If Young rediscovers that iron form, I predict he earns his second win in four starts.

Sahith Theegala (+5500)

Theegala placed well at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, a course with similar traits to Doral. At Bay Hill, he recorded his best finish of the season (T-6).

Driving success at Bay Hill: Outstanding iron play.

The event marked one of three times in his last five starts that he gained at least one stroke per round on approach.

Over his last 18 rounds, Theegala gained at least +1 stroke per round on approach eight times.

Plus, Theegala has shown extreme spike potential since Bay Hill. Over his last 20 rounds, he gained at least five strokes in relation to the field 15% of the time.

Two other factors encourage me on Theegala. He ranks 25th in driving distance with an ascending ball speed of late.

Lastly, he ranks eighth in the field for Par 5 birdie or better rate this year. At a course requiring strong Par 5 scoring, Theegala could contend at the Blue Monster.

Hideki Matsuyama (+3000)

After finishing runner-up at the WM Phoenix Open, Matsuyama saw his iron play cool off.

From Pebble Beach to the Players, Matsuyama never spiked above +0.6 SG: APP per round. However, he returned to good form in his last two events, including +1.17 at Augusta.

Matsuyama reached +1.45 or higher in three of his four Masters rounds. Two saw him spike to at least +1.9 in a very strong field.

The iron play from distance remains outstanding. This season, he ranks fourth in proximity from over 200 yards and 12th in Par 5 birdie or better rate.

Matsuyama also showed spike potential at the Players. After gaining 3.1 strokes in his opening round, he jumped to +5.7 in his final round.

All those factors lead me to believe Matsuyama has a higher chance to win than his odds imply.
