A battle between an established contender and an up-and-coming star will be part of the UFC 327 main card Saturday, as Curtis Blaydes takes on Josh Hokit inside Kaseya Center in Miami.
With more experience competing inside the octagon, Blaydes heads into the bout as the betting favorite with -120 UFC odds, while Hokit, who’s still undefeated in his pro career, will be the +100 betting underdog.

UFC 327: Curtis Blaydes vs. Josh Hokit: Prediction
A TKO/KO finish for Hokit against Blaydes is my prediction, mainly because of the frantic pace that Hokit fights against his opponents. At heavyweight, there are only a few fighters who can fight at a faser pace and not compromise their stamina like Hokit.
Hokit is also an aggressive fighter who comes surprises his opponents with an early attack either by a takedown or a barrage of strikes in the early stages of the fight. I think he’ll keep the fight on the feet against Blaydes, because he knows his fellow American also has a solid wrestling background.
Hokit’s biggest key in this fight is to use a lot of jabs to setup his power shots, especially attacking the body of Blaydes early to let his guard down. Once Blaydes lowers his hands, Hokit then can fire his signature power punches for a potential early finish.
Curtis Blaydes’ Recent Fight Results
Blaydes has been with the UFC since 2016 and was a former UFC interim heavyweight title challenger. In his last five fights, he racked up three wins against Tom Aspinall, Jailton Almeida, and Rizvan Kuniev. But he dropped his fights to Sergei Pavlovich and Aspinall (in their rematch).
Josh Hokit’s Recent Fight Results
Hokit’s path to the UFC was through Dana White’s Contender Series, where he defeated Guillherme Uriel to secure a contract under the promotion. He maintained his perfect record with victories over Max Gimenis and Denzel Freeman inside the octagon.
