Marcus McGhee will welcome UFC debutant Anthony Romero inside the octagon as they face each other in a featherweight match at UFC 332 on Saturday at Delta Center in Salt Lake City.

McGhee enters the match as the betting favorite with -500 UFC odds because of his experience competing under the promotion. Meanwhile, Romero, who stepped in on short notice, is going to be the +360 betting underdog.

UFC 332: Marcus McGhee vs. Anthony Romero: Prediction

A decision win for McGhee over Romero is my prediction, as he’s the more diverse and dynamic striker. McGhee is a threat with his punches and kicks, plus he throws them with variety. Meanwhile, Romero is a late replacement opponent.

McGhee will also enjoy a full training camp of preparation despite the change in opponent. But McGhee should be wary of Romero’s mentality heading into the match: he has nothing to lose and everything to gain, so his aggressiveness and urgency will be apparent.

Another major factor is McGhee’s experience against other top contenders like Petr Yan and Gaston Bolanos, which will serve him well against Romero, who previously fought in regional MMA circuits.

Marcus McGhee’s Recent Fight Results

McGhee made his octagon debut in April 2023. Since then, he has competed in six UFC fights, beating Journey Newson, JP Buys, Bolanos, Jonathan Martinez, and John Yannis, but lost to Yan.

Anthony Romero’s Recent Fight Results

Romero was the former Up Next Fighting champion, who was called up on short notice to face McGhee. He’s currently riding a two-fight win streak and is looking to maximize this golden opportunity to compete under the Las Vegas-based promotion.
