UFC Freedom 250: Sean O’Malley vs. Aiemann Zahabi: Prediction

The length of O’Malley is the main reason why I pick him to win via decision over Zahabi. O’Malley is incredibly good at maximizing his reach against opponents who usually have shorter arms than him.

O’Malley also has elite kicks which he can use to mix up his attacks against Zahabi. The fight IQ and the ability to adjust on the fly will be Zahabi’s edge, but O’Malley’s length will be difficult for him to overcome, especially in the majority of the striking exchanges.

Finally, without the threat of a takedown or grappling battle, the speed and feint game of O’Malley will be on full display. This was evident in his previous match against Song Yadong, where he was sniping from a comfortable distance.

Sean O’Malley’s Recent Fight Results

O’Malley was the former UFC bantamweight champion. He has three wins in his last five octagon fights. His victories were against Aljamain Sterling, Marlon Vera, and Song, while his two losses were courtesy of Merab Dvalishvili.

Aiemann Zahabi’s Recent Fight Results

Zahabi is a UFC veteran who has been with the promotion since 2017. He’s currently on a seven-fight win streak with victories over Drako Rodriguez, Ricky Turcios, Aoriqileng, Javid Basharat, Pedro Munhoz, Jose Aldo, and Vera.
