Texas has hosted College GameDay 11 total times, including the upcoming Week 2 show from the 2026 college football season.

Steve Sarkesian’s arrival generated an uptick in Texas’ appearance rate on the College GameDay schedule. This is the fourth time Texas will host GameDay during the Sarkesian era.

Compare that to the entire 2010s decade, when Texas hosted GameDay only one time.

When Was the Last Time College GameDay Went to Texas?

College GameDay visited Texas in 2024, when the Longhorns hosted Georgia during their inaugural season of SEC football.

Before you celebrate Sarkesian too much, though, take note – Texas is 0-3 when hosting GameDay under his leadership. In fact, Texas hasn’t won as a GameDay host since 2009.

Consider that before looking at Texas’ football odds this weekend.
