College football is a young man’s game, and modern football is often coached by young, 30 and 40-something geniuses who cut their teeth in a new era of offense-friendly rules. 

But don’t ignore the old hats, who are almost always at the top of the game. There’s usually a reason these guys have been around forever: They win.
