Every year, the clay tennis season concludes with a grand spectacle in Paris at the French Open. Players must survive long, grueling volleys on the dirt as the European summer rolls in.

BetMGM has seen an uptick in interest around the French Open odds market, at least since prohibitive favorite Jannik Sinner lost in the second round. Sinner’s departure, in combination with Carlos Alcaraz’ wrist injury, leaves Roland-Garros completely up for grabs.

Unless 39-year-old Novak Djokovic () finds his way to a record 25th Slam title, tennis fans could be looking at the prospect of a first-time French Open winner in the men’s draw – something that’s been quite rare during this century of all-time great men’s players.

But it’s not just glory that these players are in search of. Grand Slam tournaments carry absolutely huge prize purses, and the French Open is no exception.

This year, the total French Open purse has been raised to €61,723,000, which is right around $72 million in US dollars.

The winners will each take home a large slice of that.
