The Los Angeles Angels have a win total of 70.5 entering the 2026 season, according to the latest MLB win totals market at the BetMGM online sportsbook.

Angels Over/Under Wins 2026

  • Over 70.5 wins: -105
  • Under 70.5 wins: -115

Angels Win Total Prediction 2026

  • Pass, but prefer the under on 70.5 wins

Based on the updated MLB odds, I’d pass on the Angels’ win total of 70.5 for the 2026 season. I prefer their path to finishing under this mark compared to over the total.

There is a wide gap between projections on the Angels. PECOTA is the most pessimistic of their outlook, forecasting 66.5 wins. OOPSY, a projection system available at FanGraphs, has Los Angeles winning 78.2 games.

Given the wide range, I don’t really have a preference on the win total. I’m generally down on the Angels, who are coming off a 72-win season.

Los Angeles had a quiet offseason, but its biggest move came at the start of the winter. The Angels traded outfielder Taylor Ward for starter Grayson Rodriguez in a deal with the Baltimore Orioles.

When healthy, Rodriguez has plenty of potential as a strong starting pitcher. But he made 20 starts last year, posting a 3.86 ERA with 130 strikeouts in 116 2/3 innings of work.

Even with Rodriguez in the fold, it’s difficult to get too excited about the Angels’ pitching staff. This group ranked 29th in fWAR last year, ahead of only the Colorado Rockies. It’s never a good sign to be ranked just ahead of the Rockies.

Yet I’m not sure the lineup offers much more reason for optimism. Ward’s absence will be missed after he hit 36 home runs and 103 RBIs in 2025.

Mike Trout appears to finally be mortal, posting 1.5 bWAR in 130 games last year. Shortstop Zach Neto has been the team’s best player in back-to-back seasons, posting 5.1 bWAR in each campaign.

The Angels haven’t made the playoffs since 2014, and they are unlikely to change that this year. I could see them having a fire sale at the trade deadline if it gets too out of hand.
