The Milwaukee Brewers lead 2-0 over the San Diego Padres entering Game 3 of the NLDS at 10 p.m. ET on Tuesday in San Diego on FS1. The Padres are betting favorites to keep their season alive.

Brewers vs. Padres Prediction for Game 3 NLDS
- Padres moneyline
I like the Padres’ chances of staving off elimination with a Game 3 win on Tuesday. Honestly, San Diego is unlucky to be down 2-0 in this series.
Both games have come down to the wire, quite literally in Game 1. In the opener, Ty France’s potential go-ahead home run hit the roof cable in the ninth inning of a 3-2 loss. In Game 2, Jackson Chourio delivered a walk-off single off Mason Miller, MLB’s best closer, to win 4-3.
The Brewers enter Tuesday’s Game 3 with a chance to punch their ticket to the NLCS, while the Padres hope to keep their season alive for at least one more night. In all best-of-five postseason series, teams with a 2-0 lead have gone on to win the series 83 of 93 times (89%).
But I think a return to San Diego could be just what the Padres need to regain their momentum. They have one of the best fan bases in the sport and will benefit from a raucous crowd. San Diego went 51-30 at Petco Park in the regular season, ranking fourth in the majors in home wins.
In addition, the Padres’ bullpen should be rested after getting a day off. Adrian Morejón couldn’t pitch in Game 2 after throwing two innings in the opener. That forced Miller to pitch the final two innings on Sunday.
If San Diego can strike first, a rested group of relievers could help shut the door. An early lead is possible against Brewers starter Dusin May, who posted a 4.70 ERA in 31 regular-season starts. He gave up seven runs across 7 1/3 innings over his last three outings.
