Royals vs. Guardians Prediction for Tuesday
I’ll back the home team in a bounce-back spot for my Royals vs. Guardians prediction on Monday.
This game was moved up to an afternoon start before Kansas City’s 4-2 win on Monday, as the forecast calls for frigid temperatures in Cleveland. It will be 35 degrees around first pitch.
In addition to the quick turnaround, the Royals will be without their top relievers. Lucas Erceg and Matt Strahm have pitched on back-to-back days. Even the best version of the Royals’ pen is below league-average.
Give me the superior bullpen on a quick turnaround in this divisional matchup.
Tigers vs. Twins Prediction Tonight
Staying in the American League Central, I’m backing the division favorites for my Tigers vs. Twins prediction.
Similar to the Royals, the Twins have asked a lot out of their bullpen in recent days, and they didn’t have much of an “A pen” to begin with. Conversely, Detroit will give the ball to two-time Cy Young Tarik Skubal and let him go deep into this game.
The Tigers are off to a slow start as AL Central favorites, but they can usually count on Skubal to right the ship. He’s allowed two runs in 13 innings this season. I’ll pay the steep vig to back him and Detroit in what could be a lopsided matchup.
