Patrick Mahomes made history in 2020 when he signed a 10-year, $450 million contract. At the time, it was the biggest contract by total value in NFL history, though ensuing deals eventually reset the market.

Since then, Mahomes has continued to work with the Chiefs front office, restructuring his deal multiple times in order to create the leverage and cap room needed by the team to remain competitive in the NFL odds market.

Because of the financial flexibility Mahomes continues to give Kansas City, the Chiefs’ odds remain at the top of the market.

Patrick Mahomes Contract

Patrick Mahomes is technically under contract with Kansas City through 2031 on a maximalist deal worth more than $400 million.

That said, Mahomesโ€™ restructured deal effectively ends his current status with the Chiefs after 2026, as both parties agree to revisit the contract.

Patrick Mahomes Salary

Patrick Mahomes will earn $45.75 million from his contract with the Chiefs in 2024.

After a March restructure, $27 million in salary was converted into signing bonus. His base salary is $9.85 million.ย

Over the course of his contract, Mahomes’ average annual salary is $45 million.
