Seasoned UFC middleweight contender Jacob Malkoun will test the mettle of undefeated prospect Torrez Finney on Jan. 31 at UFC 324, which takes place at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.

Despite having a perfect pro record, Finney still heads to the match as the betting underdog with +120 UFC odds. This makes Malkoun the slight betting favorite with -145 odds, despite having three losses to his record.

UFC 325: Jacob Malkoun vs. Torrez Finney: Prediction

A unanimous decision win for Finney over Malkoun is my prediction for this match, as the former uses his top-level wrestling to overpower opponents. This allows him to dominate them on the ground.

In his last two matches, Finney has ragdolled his opponents and dominated them on the ground with several submission attempts and ground-and-pound strikes. But due to his inexperience and youth, his knack for finishing his opponents still needs polishing.

This lack of urgency to finish opponents is the reason why I think this match ends in a decision. Unless Finney catches Malkoun with a sleek submission or a crucifix to rain down strikes on the ground, the match will be stretched to three rounds.

Jacob Malkoun’s Recent Fight Results

Malkoun made his UFC debut in October 2020 and has racked up four wins and three losses. His victories were against Abdul Razak Alhassan, AJ Dobson, Nick Maximov, and Andre Petroski, while his losses were courtesy of Phil Hawes, Brendan Allen, and Cody Brundage.

Torrez Finney’s Recent Fight Results

Finney had to compete three times in Dana White’s Contender Series before he got a UFC contract in October 2024. He had a successful octagon debut in April when he eked out a close split decision victory against Robert Valentin.
