My prediction is a decision win for Izagakhmaev over Vagaev, as he’s the slightly better striker and has more power in his strikes. Both are incredibly elite grapplers, but I think they’ll just neutralize each other’s skills in this department.
With that being said, the fight should be more of a stand-up affair, and that is where Izagakhmaev will hold the advantage against Vagaev. Izagakhmaev is more technical in his strikes and fires strikes with knockout intentions.
Meanwhile, Vagaev uses his strikes to set up a level change and force a grappling match with his opponents. Izagahkmaev trains with Khabib Nurmagomedov, and they are known to be among the best grapplers in the world, which is why I believe he’ll just defend takedowns from Vagaev and make it a striking bout.
