UFC debutants Leon Shahbazyan and Levan Chokheli are scheduled to throw hands at UFC Vegas 119 on Saturday inside the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.

Even though he currently rides a five-fight win streak, Shahbazyan is still going to be the betting underdog with +310 UFC odds, while Chokheli will be the considerable betting favorite with -425 odds.

UFC Vegas 119: Leon Shahbazyan vs. Levan Chokheli: Prediction

My prediction is a TKO/KO victory for Chokheli over Shahbazyan because he’s the more powerful and aggressive striker. Chokheli is so committed to his striking, and he always looks for a highlight-reel knockout finish against his opponents.

Despite the stylistic matchup favoring Shahbazyan, Chokheli is also a solid grappler who can reverse takedown positions and end up on mount. Shahbazyan doesn’t really force or impose his submission skills against opponents; he just waits and looks for an opportunity.

While Chokheli throws everything with his punches and kicks. Additionally, Shahbazyan doesn’t have the best defense on his feet, because he’s very tall with his stance and is very hittable. This will be perfect for the explosive attacks of Chokeli, and a knockout finish is bound to happen.

Leon Shahbazyan’s Recent Fight Results

Shahbazyan is a welterweight contender who’s on a four-fight win streak. His victories were against Aireon Tavarres, Aaron Phillips, Glaucio Eliziario, and Robert Hale, while his lone loss in his last five bouts was to Ryan Loder.

Levan Chokheli’s Recent Fight Results

Chokheli was a former Bellator contender. He won four of his last five pro fights outside the UFC. During this stretch, he defeated Roman Faraldo, Michael Lombardo, Sabah Homasi, and Alexandre Goncalves, while his loss during this stretch was to Lorenz Larkin.
